Milestone: Workforce grows to 40 staff, serving 160+ individuals

By the mid-1980s, PSW had become a thriving hub of opportunity, employing nearly 40 staff and serving over 160 individuals. With vocational programs in woodshop, ceramics, and recycling, PSW offered meaningful work and creative expression. This period highlighted the organization’s deep compassion for individual growth, its integrity in honoring each person’s potential, and the strength of collaboration with local businesses. Most importantly, it reinforced that PSW is a place where people belong—where their talents are valued and nurtured.
